Introduction

The CEO

The need for dependable, decentralized power became more acute than ever in 2025. Taking this challenge head on, BioLite and Goal Zero joined forces to double down on two key dimensions of energy access: deepening our product expertise and fortifying our emerging market distribution networks by taking a strategic stake in Izili.

These key investments ensure that, despite tumultuous global conditions, we have the stability to deliver safe, life-changing off-grid energy exactly where it matters most. This strategic focus led to our most transformative year of growth, dramatically increasing our scale and global reach.

Customer Voices Being Heard

We believe the true measure of our success lies in the voices of those we serve. This year, that belief was validated by 60 Decibels, an independent impact measurement firm that conducts studies by speaking directly to end-customers.

Female Reach: Prioritizing energy access for the women who lead their households and manage daily energy needs.
First Access: Reaching families who previously lacked any modern energy alternatives.
Reduced Spending: Ensuring our technology delivers immediate financial relief to those who need it most.

Heart of America x Goal Zero

A vital component of Goal Zero's impact legacy is its long-standing collaboration with Heart of America, a national non-profit dedicated to transforming communities.

Heart of America 1

Building Learning Environments

This initiative addresses a profound challenge: thousands of households across these ancestral lands lack a connection to the central power grid, creating a significant barrier to education and modern living.

Heart of America 2

Large Scale Energy Solutions

Heart of America identifies the critical needs of students and families, while Goal Zero provides high-capacity power stations and solar arrays capable of sustaining a household’s essential needs.

Heart of America 3

Powering Futures

Through this partnership, Goal Zero is proud to support Heart of America’s effort to ensure that every student, regardless of their location or proximity to the grid, has the tools they need to succeed.

Range Packaging Initiative

For the 2025 Range Headlamp Series, BioLite eliminated plastic packaging entirely by introducing a custom-molded paper pulp structure made from reclaimed bamboo and sugarcane waste, proving that sustainable packaging can be both responsible and visually striking.

Emergency Response

Disaster Relief in the Wake of Hurricane Melissa

When Hurricane Melissa struck, BioLite and Goal Zero mobilized quickly to provide emergency lighting and power solutions to affected communities, demonstrating the critical role of reliable energy access during crisis.

Our Luci Solar Lanterns - waterproof, collapsible, and fuel-free - were ready for the most demanding environments. Our partners on the ground, Orphan Grain Train, Catholic Charities, B&R Preparedness, Portland Rotary Fund, and Mosaic International ensured they didn’t sit in a warehouse and were deployed where they were most valuable.
