How much electricity does the CampStove 2+ produce?

3 Watts at peak output. The hotter the fire, the more power produced.

Can the CampStove 2+ work with cookware I already own?

Yes, CampStove 2+ can work with kettles and camping pots and pans. We do not recommend heavy cast-iron and cookware with diameters greater than 10" as these create unstable cooking surfaces given the small footprint of CampStove. If you're looking for larger group cooking, we recommend using the BioLite KettlePot or Portable Grill which are designed to work specifically with CampStove while maximizing cooking capacity.

How do you start a fire inside the CampStove 2+?

1) Fill your burn chamber ¾ of the way with fuel (this can be small dry sticks or pellets – don’t overstuff or you’ll block the air jets that help combust the smoke) 2) Use a small piece of firestarter (included with all CampStove 2+s) and light with a match or lighter and place inside your chamber (we recommend bbq lighters if you’re in windy conditions, you can light directly inside the chamber). 3) Once the CampStove 2+’s heat probe gets hot enough the fan will turn on and start to stoke your fire. If you have a little bit of smoke before the fan turns on that is normal - it will go away when the fan kicks in.
