Festival season is here and we’re looking forward to camping with our buddies, cracking open cold drinks, discovering new up and coming artists, and lots and lots of live music.
If you’re headed to a music festival this summer, the right gear can help you get the most out of the experience, so we’ve put together a packing list to help you get ready for a summer full of fun.
Festival Packing List
More Festival Tips
The right gear goes a long way, but that’s not all you need to have a good time. Keep these tips in mind to keep yourself and your crew healthy and happy.
Keep Water Handy
Dehydration can ruin the party pretty fast. Most people need 2.5-4 liters of water a day, and you might need a bit more if you’re dancing up a storm or basking in the hot sun. Refill your water bottle frequently and remember alcohol can contribute to dehydration.
Apply Sunscreen
Sunburns can cause short-term misery and long-term damage, but staying out of the sun isn’t always practical. If you’re spending a lot of time in the sun, apply sunscreen multiple times throughout the day so you have lasting protection.
Scope Out Your Surroundings
Once you arrive at the festival grounds, take some time to walk around and get your bearings so you know where to find the stages, water, toilets, and vendors.
Pick Your Priorities
One of the perks of attending a music festival is the chance to see lots of different artists, but no one can be everywhere at once, so check the schedule ahead of time to decide which shows matter the most and make sure you’re at the right stage when they start.
Coordinate Ahead of Time
A portable power station can help you keep your phone charged, but you might not have reliable cell service during a music festival. Make plans with your group ahead of time about where you’ll meet if you get split up just in case your text doesn’t go through.
We hope you’re as excited as we are for a fun summer packed with adventures. Stay safe and enjoy the music—and if you’re in the area, come see us at the Fort Desolation Fest in Torrey, Utah this June 6th-8th!
